Harpist Aisling Urwin visits St. Brigid's

Music students in St Brigid’s were treated to a harp masterclass and performance with Harpist Aisling Urwin .

Aisling is a harpist and songwriter from Kenmare who has completed a degree in Music and Folklore in UCC. Since graduating Aisling has experimented with more contemporary genres such as reggae, rock and blues in an effort to stretch people's preconceptions of what the harp is and what it can do.  Aisling is now recording original work which will be released this summer.

The music students and teachers thoroughly enjoyed the masterclass and look forward to Aisling’s next visit to St Brigid's.
