2023 marked a year for the history book, with St. Brigid's fielding their very first school camogie team. 26 students from first to third year jumped at the opportunity to represent the school this year.
The camogie team could not have been created without the generosity of 'The Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle', who donated vital funds to attain equipment such as hurleys, helmets and sliotars, as well as a beautiful set of jerseys for the team.
The team train once a week and prepare for many Munster and Kerry leagues and blitz' that take place throughout the year.
This year the team made their debut in Mallow for a Munster Schools Blitz, winning 2/3 matches. They look forward to a successful season in the next academic year.
