Volleyball is a very popular sport worldwide. Ireland has developed spike ball as a precursor to Volleyball to encourage development of the sport, this is a non-contact sport which involves great agility and reaction time.

There are 5 grades, grade A being the highest. St. Brigid's is currently ranked at Grade B.
