👏👏👏Darcy Louise Tangney Selected for Ireland U18 National Volleyball Team
Killarney native Darcy Louise Tangney has been selected to the Ireland U18 National Volleyball Team. Darcy Louise earned her place following the National Trials held at UCD on May 19th, where she impressed selectors and was successfully chosen to progress to the National Pathways Squad.
Darcy Louise’s passion for volleyball began at St. Brigid’s Secondary School, where she first joined the school team. She later continued to develop her skills with the Killarney Phoenix Volleyball Club, attending weekly training sessions at St. Mary’s Parish Hall. Under the guidance of Head Coach Stefen and his dedicated coaching team, her talent and commitment to the sport grew steadily.
Now part of the national setup, Darcy Louise is preparing for an exciting new chapter, joining her U18 teammates for regular training sessions, primarily based at Maynooth University.
This is a fantastic achievement for a dedicated young athlete, and a proud moment for her family, coaches, and the local volleyball community.
